Cowboys and Indians: A preview and sale of the arms collection from the estate of Ira Yeager Sr. happens Friday through June 7 at Greg Martin Auctions in the city. Also featured is an exhibition of Ira Yeager Jr.’s exquisite “Indian” series of paintings. The Wine Country artist’s late father was a noted Pacific Northwest sportsman and wildlife author, who led Hollywood stars and statesman on fishing and hunting expeditions. “He was the wild man of the North,” said Yeager. “My dad carried a .22 single-shot rifle at 3 and was shooting birds at 4. I was the wimpy kid who painted pictures!”
